Setting new standards
     in tidal breathing assessment

The cardiorespiratory system changes profoundly in the months before childbirth, resulting in underdeveloped lung functionality in many preterm infants. Despite advances in treatment, respiratory failure remains a primary cause of disease and mortality in newborns. One hurdle toward improved respiratory care is a lack of diagnostic systems suitable for neonates.

Clinicians seek better tools to monitor trends and changes in breathing patterns and volumes, and clinical indicators that signal a need for action. For this purpose VoluSense has developed FloRight™, a non-invasive device to monitor neonatal breathing function. FloRight is a bedside, mask-free system to measure tidal breathing volume and tidal flow in neonates.

FloRight has been tested in clinical trials and approved for sales in Europe (CE), but is not yet available for clinical use. More information will follow before mid 2012. Clinicians interested in trial use or preorders are welcome to contact us.
